Skullcandy 2011 GI SGS For PS3 Customer Reviews
This review is from: Skullcandy (Product Out Of Date, Newer Version Available) GI PS3 Gaming Headphone with Boom Mic S6GIB3-BR (Black/Red)
Great if you get them for less than $90,I had purchased these for my PS3 about two months ago. Over all they are a fine product. For Sixty bones you can't beat it. But if I had to pay 90 I think I might be inclined to go for Trittons 5.1 head sets. But for stereo head sets they are great and the mic works great.(I read a review that said the opposite) Comfort the are good for about 30 to 45 minutes, then my large ears need a break. My biggest complaint is the Game/mic volume controls. They are hard to read to see witch one is witch. On top of that to turn up game volume you scroll up on one side and the mic(players) volume you scroll down. Hard to do that on the fly. Bottom line if you don't want a ear piece and don't want to spend 100 bones+ look for these sweet things on deal and pick you up some!
p.s. They work for your pc too!
A good alternative to the Turtle Beach Mid Range Headsets for the PS3.
Update as of January 15th, 2011 the headset has broken. The sound still works, the mic is fine, the the build quality of the device is poor. When a headset breaks within the housing of the extendable headset, nothing can be blamed but the quality of the materials used in its construction. I mean the headsets have been treated like royality, yet they've broken from me putting them on? Really? I don't even need to extend them! Yet, they have broken inside the housing, all the plastic is still stuck inside, but shattered into pieces. I had such high hopes for this headset.
Turtle Beach, here I come!
Nice, This headset is comfortable to wear and the sound is awesome. I can be playing while people around me are talking, crying, laughing and hear nothing but the game. This also helps to communicate with people on the team (Black Ops) so that we can beat the other team in whatever challenge we are in. I would by again for the price and quality. I have only used it on the PS3 so I do not know how it sounds on the computer but I imagine it would be good.
